WHAT'S YOUR CURRENT TRAINING GOAL?

Staying toned up, having enough energy to work and train hard and having youthful skin. Ensuring that I'm consistent with how I eat and train is my main focus. It’s not what you do once in a while that shapes who you are, your body and your mind - it’s what you do every day.

WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU TAKE & WHY?

Green Boost by Formula Health - for immunity, to alkalise my body, for my skin and general wellbeing. I love this formula because it’s organic, really comprehensive and potent. I double scoop it and have it first thing in the morning with water before I take anything else.

Plant Force Synergy Protein - as I don’t eat meat, and getting enough protein is really important, I have this straight after training or as a snack on the go. For people trying to tone up, this type of protein is essential. It’s a great quality product and tastes good.

WHAT'S YOUR APPROACH TO DIET?

I have three main approaches to eating well:

Intuitive Eating

I like to take an intuitive approach to eating. There are so many different diets out there, so many fads. What’s important is discovering more about your body, listening to it, and developing an eating regime from there. What’s right for your body may completely different to someone else, so it’s really tuning into that. It can be done by noticing how your body responds to certain things, getting some pathology tests done, seeing naturopaths or ayurvedic doctors. Personally, I do well on a diet with lots of good fats, vegetables, not too many carbohydrates (but a little bit), lots of alkaline and anti-inflammatory foods, and a balance of all different tastes.

80/20 rule

I LOVE food. Anyone that knows me laughs because I love to eat, and eat a lot. For me, it’s about eating well consistently day to day, and then taking time to enjoy and indulge in foods that you love that are a bit naughty. I love to enjoy a good dinner out without holding back, and have chocolate when I want, as long as most of the time what I eat is healthy and balanced. Food is a part of life, travel and culture, it’s there to be enjoyed!

Food as medicine and fuel.

I believe that having a mindset of food as something that heals and nourishes you is really important (because it does). When I’m sick or run down, I know that eating the right foods and taking the right supplements is the most important thing to do other than rest. Also, eating right is the cornerstone of looking good – and no matter how much you train, you won’t get results with a bad diet. I look at food as fuel to put in the tank. If you had a luxury car, you wouldn’t fill it with shitty fuel, would you? You’d fuel it with the best you could, for clean, long lasting energy, to take care of your car. That’s how I see food, because you’ve only got one body, and you need to take care of it with eating well. Prevention is the best medicine. And also your brain can’t function right on shitty fuel.r chocolate, and often get cravings at night after dinner. This product is the perfect way to satisfy this in a healthy way, with a delicious chocolate flavour and blend of nutrients to support recovery, the adrenal system and healthy sleep. Win-win.
